The short version
I write The Canine Ledger. I am not a veterinarian, and I don’t pretend to be. Each page is my summary of the published research, as I understand it, and each one tells you to confirm with your vet.
The longer version
[200–300 WORDS. Cover, in your own voice: who you are and what you did before this. Your dogs — names, breeds, how long, what they were like. The loss that started this, in more detail than the About page. What you learned going through it that you wish someone had told you. Why you decided the answer was to build something rather than to move on.]
What qualifies me to write this
Being honest about this is more persuasive than overstating it.
What I have: [E.G. — lived experience of guiding a dog through hospice, quality-of-life assessment, and euthanasia; the habit of reading primary research rather than summaries; the willingness to publish an answer that costs me money; and access to professionals who correct me before you read it.]
What I don’t have: a veterinary degree, a clinical practice, or a counselling qualification. That is why every page sends you back to your own vet.
